Last week, a lecture on “Who Changed Your Future” given by Professor Lin Jiang was held in F520, Zhuhai campus. Professor Lin is a famous teacher of Lingnan College. He is also an active figure in many financial forums of the community. Professor Lin has been to many foreign countries for academic interflow and he has just come back from Italy before this lecture. The students who have attended his class all spoke highly of Professor Lin and said that he not only made the class interesting but also taught them many thoughtful ideas of life.

The theme of the lecture is about the transition of Guangdong’s industry and how college students can make themselves adaptable to for the future. That night, the theme which is closely related to our students and the popularity of Professor Lin attracted many students to attend the lecture. At the lecture, Professor Lin analyzed Guangdong’s industrial structure in an easy way and took Italy as an example based on his latest experience there. He said that it is important for college students to cultivate their creativity and try to do desultory reading in different subjects. Professor Lin raised that the development of Guangdong is challenging but it is also full of opportunities. And he encouraged the audience to be confident and be the heroes in difficult time.

The brilliant and humorous speech given by Professor Lin has won the applause of the audience time after time during the whole lecture. In the “Q & A” part, many raised questions and they all got detailed answers from the professor. Some students even stayed till late in order to communicate with the professor after the lecture.

Among so many lectures on campus, this lecture must be one of the best. The content of this lecture is really meaningful and the audience all give good evaluation on it. We hope that there will be more lectures like this and we can have more experienced figure to give us speeches. And we should attend valuable lectures and gain something from them.
