An evening party for the tenth anniversary of Macao’s return and New Year’s Eve had been held in the Alumni Hall of North Campus of SYSU. Zhang Chunfang, Director of the Guangdong Liaison Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government was present in the party. The party was directed by students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, which demonstrated the Macao’s return and the magnificent picture of the decade through drama, opera, dances, songs and a variety of quiz shows. The party was co-sponsored by Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office and the Mission Work of the North Campus, hosted by the Department of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students of the Student Association.

According to the source, SYSU will hold a variety of events to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Macao’s return, including the photo exhibition on the north campus to celebrate Macao’s return, 100meters long scroll painting and calligraphy competition on the north campus to celebrate Macao’s return, south campus’ writing competition to celebrate Macao’s return, concert on Zhuhai Campus to celebrate Macao’s return, and the "flame heart” Christmas party on the east campus to celebrate Macao’s return.
