"Shinning Guangdong, Blessing Motherland” –the lightning ceremony at Zhuhai Campus of SYSU, one of the serial activities for Guangdong youth to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of new China, co-organized by the provincial propaganda department, provincial committee of the Youth League and Southern Media Corporation (SMC), was held successfully at the No.5 and No.6 dormitories of Rongyuan on the evening of September 19^th.

Around 9 o’clock that night, the Rongyuan Square of Zhuhai Campus had already been alive with students who were excited, waiting for the commencement of the lightning ceremony. At 9:30 sharp, with a loud whistle, the lights were turned on one after another, spreading brilliant rays in the sky and the words “CHINA I ♥ U” were inscribed on the walls of the NO.5 and NO.6 dormitories of Rongyuan. Students exclaimed with excitement, and with love and blessings to our great motherland in their hearts.
