On July 27, overseas Chinese college students from many famous universities around the globe gathered together in Swasey Hall of Sun Yat-sen University to launch the 2014 Guangdong Culture Summer Camp for Outstanding Overseas Chinese College Students.

The summer camp is jointly organized by Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, Sun Yat-sen University, etc. 32 outstanding overseas Chinese college students from 8 countries including the U.K. and the U.S. as well as 18 outstanding college students from around China attend the summer camp. In the 15-day culture tour, the campers will visit 4 cities in Guangdong to observe, experience and taste Lingnan culture and Chaoshan culture. The organizers also arrange lectures, forums and salons to allow the campers from different countries and different cultures to exchange their ideas and share their knowledge and joy.
