YANG Donghua, male, Han ethnicity, born in August 1969, a native of Jiangchuan, Yunnan Province, is now a researcher. He graduated college with a certificate and later received a master's degree. He worked at SYSU upon graduation in 1992, serving successively as Secretary of the CYL Committee in the School of Information Science and Technology, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee in the School of Physics and Engineering, Vice Dean of the Sino-French Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the CPC Committee in the School of Physics, and Executive Deputy Director and Director of the Construction Office. 

He was appointed Assistant President of SYSU in June 2019 and held a concurrent position as Director of the Construction Office. Since December 2020, he has been a member of the Standing Committee of the SYSU Party Committee, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University, and Director of the University Logistics Office.
