The First Affiliated Hospital and the International Academy of Nanomedicine Jointly Hold the First International Congress of Nano-Medical Science
From 11 to 14 of June, the First International Congress of Nano-Medical Science, jointly organized by the First Affiliated Hospital and the International Academy of Nanomedicine, was held in Sanya of Hainan Province. The conference focused on the promotion of global cooperation in nano-medical research. Wang Shenming, dean of the First Affiliated Hospital, chaired the congress. Wei Qiming, president of the International Academy of Nanomedicine; Xiu Xiaoping, vice-head of the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology; Guo Baohong, vice mayor of Sanya, attended the event and delivered speeches. About 50 world renowned scientists from the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, discussed and exchanged ideas about the topics of the "Nano-bio-technology Is A Substitute for Blood" and " Transfection of Carbon-nano-materials Drugs" and etc,.
At present, nano-technology has been successfully applied to fields like medicine, pharmacology, chemistry, biology, optical, and national defense. Nanomedicine refers to a discipline in which nanotechnology is used to solve the medical problems. In the field of medical diagnosis, people can develop a molecular imaging technology for in vitro detection of living cells, which traditional medicine is not equipped to do. As a new discipline of rapid development, Nano-medicine is of great significance to medical research and clinical practice.
