China-USA Traumatology Research and Training Center of SYSU First Affiliated Hospital Inaugurated
On the afternoon of November 27, the inauguration ceremony for the China-USA Traumatology Research and Training Center took place, signaling the formal establishment of this center which is jointly built by the SYSU First Affiliated Hospital and the Traumatology Center of California Hospital in the United States. Professor Gary Y. Chen from Traumatology Center of California Hospital, together with relevant leaders, professors, academic pace-setters, section heads as well as directors and presidents of relevant functional departments and associate units, attended the ceremony.
Professor Liu Xiaolin, subject leader of Micro Traumatic Orthopedics, and Professor Gary Y. Chen unveiled for the center. The China-USA Traumatology Research and Training Center is an organization which carries out scientific researches and educational trainings focusing on trauma care. The center, led by Department of Micro Traumatic Orthopedics and co-sponsored by Department of Orthopedics-Microsurgery, Surgical Department, Emergency Department, Anesthesiology Department, Operating Room and ICU Medicine, echoed with related trauma care specialists and cooperated with Traumatology Center of California Hospital of the United States, striving to build a traumotology research platform characterized by translational medicine and clinical medicine, a traumatology training platform featured on promoting modern concept and standardized technique for trauma care as well as an information exchange and service platform supported mainly by Internet, Mobile Communication, etc.
