Yu Xueqing, Professor of the First Affiliated Hospital, SYSU Was Employed as an Adjunct Professor by University of Colorado Denver

On May 3rd, Professor Yu Xueqing visited the Medical School of University of Colorado Denver and was employed as an adjunct professor. The employment ceremony was held in the Medical School of University of Colorado Denver.
The employment ceremony was hosted by Professor Richard Johnson, Executive Director of the International Society of Nephrology and Director of Nephrology and Hypertension Department of University of Colorado Denver. Joseph Garcia, the lieutenant governor of Colorado, delivered a speech. Professor Richard Krugman, Vice President of University of Colorado who in charge of medical affairs and Dean of the Medical School, handed over the letter of appointment to Professor Yu Xueqing and valued highly of his academic achievement and his contribution to the cooperation between the two universities. More than 30 scholars including Robert Schrier, the former president of the International Society of Nephrology and the famous nephrologist, were present at the employment ceremony.
During his visit to University of Colorado, Professor Yu Xueqing delivered a special report How to Successfully Build and Manage a Peritoneal Dialysis Center by invitation. Professor Yu Xueqing introduced the history and status quo of Sun Yat-sen University and the Medical School. He also shared the international advanced working experience on peritoneal dialysis and the relevant research results achieved by the center, which was highly concerned and recognized by the scientific research personnel.
