Recently, the inauguration ceremony was held for Huiya Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Secretary Zheng Detao pointed out in his address that, Huiya Hospital is completed in less than two years since The First Affiliated Hospital and the Administration Committee of Daya Bay District of Huizhou City signed a framework cooperation agreement, showing the high efficiency and solid working style of the CPC Huizhou Municipal Committee and Huizhou Municipal People’s Government. Sun Yat-sen University has a good basis for cooperation with Huizhou City, and is motivated to manage Huiya Hospital well. He expressed that Sun Yat-sen University and its First Affiliated Hospital attach great importance to the construction of Huiya Hospital, and will make all-out efforts to build it into an influential modern hospital in Huizhou and even the Pearl River Delta Region.

Secretary Huang Yebin expressed that in recent years, Huizhou’s economic and social development has entered the fast lane, and the people’s demand for health care has increased. As a key project of the people’s livelihood, Huiya Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University will definitely play a radiating role in the health care development of surrounding areas and form a regional center. The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University is renowned at home and abroad with strong technological force, advanced clinical teaching and abundant research achievements. With the official opening of Huiya Hospital, a large group of medical professionals will gather in Daya Bay District to promote the rapid development of medical and health care in the district and even the whole city. He hoped that both sides will make concerted efforts to build it into a base for comprehensive medical services, scientific research and teaching practice, and bring benefit to the people. Huizhou will support the construction of the hospital as always and ensure that the medical care personnel can work contentedly. The Daya Bay District will strengthen cooperation with The First Affiliated Hospital and strictly implement the cooperation agreement.

On behalf of the First Affiliated Hospital, President Wang Shenming thanked the Department of Health of Guangdong Province, the CPC Huizhou Municipal Committee, Huizhou Municipal People’s Government, Huizhou Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone (National) Administrative Commission, and Sun Yat-sen University for their help and support for the construction of Huiya Hospital. He said that The First Affiliated Hospital will continue to cooperate with Huizhou Municipal Government and Daya Bay District Government, organize and send more medical experts and management teams to promote the follow-up construction and ensure the successful opening of Huiya Hospital.
