On November 19, the Project Construction Report Meeting of the 2010 National Key Clinical Specialties of Ministry of Health (South China Area) was held in the Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University.
The South China Area (including Guangdong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Hainan Province) Inspection Group was led by Zhao Minggang, Director of the Department of Medical Administration of Ministry of Health. Liao Xinbo, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health of Guangdong Province, and other leaders of the Department of Health of the three provinces attended the meeting. 20 National Key Clinical Specialties projects of 12 hospitals, including The First Affiliated Hospital of SYSU and Nanfang Hospital, were inspected. The Ministry of Health mainly inspected the implementation of construction of the 2010 National Key Clinical Specialties in related hospitals, including organization, management, implementation, preliminary results, fund allocation and utilization of the projects.

The Hospital of Stomatology of SYSU has 3 National Key Clinical Specialties of Ministry of Health, including conservative dentistry & endodontics, oral & maxillofacial surgery, and prosthodontics. This time the specialty of conservative dentistry & endodontics was inspected. Professor Ling Junqi, Director of the Hospital of Stomatology, and Professor Wei Xi reported respectively on behalf of the hospital and the division, which were acclaimed by experts of the inspection group.
