Professor Ma Jun of SYSU Cancer Center Received the 2011 CMB Distinguished Professorship Award

Professor Ma Jun of SYSU Cancer Center was awarded the 2011 China Medical Board (CMB for short) Distinguished Professorship Award, and would receive 60,000 dollars financial assistance from CMB.

Ma Jun, Vice-dean and Professor of SYSU Cancer Center and doctoral student supervisor, has directed and completed many clinical subjects' key projects of Ministry of Health and of the National Natural Science Foundation. As the primary completer, he has won the second prize of the 2009 “National Science and Technology Progress Award”, the first prize of the 2007 “Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award” and “Guangdong Province Science and Technology Progress Award”, and also was honored with “The 10th Guangdong Province Ding Ying Science and Technology Award (2009)”, “Guangdong Institutions of Higher Learning Special Engaged Professor of the Pearl River Scholar (2010-2015)”, as well as “Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution (2010)” of Ministry of Health. His 22 papers accepted by the SCI as the lead author or/and corresponding author include J Clin Oncol, Lancet Oncol, Clin Cancer Res, Radiology, Cancer, Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Physand Head Neck. The total IF reaches 143.6 (IF is the impact factor of 2011 SCI journals), and J Clin Oncolitself has gotten the maximum citation of 110 times.
