"EU Climate Change Exhibition” Opens in SYSU
On the morning of 16 September, the “EU Climate Change Exhibition”, organized by Delegation of European Commission to China of EU, was inaugurated in the East Campus Library. Mr. Michael Pulch, Deputy Ambassador of Delegation of European Commission to China of EU, attended and cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Also presented in the event were representatives of Consulates in Guangzhou of Sweden, Norway, Italy, France, Austria and other countries, and SYSU Vice President Xu Ningsheng.
Since its successful debut show in Beijing in 2008, the exhibition has been carried out as road show in Shanghai, Shenyang, Changchun, Jinlin, Nanning. With photos, texts and videos, the exhibition aims to spread the scientific knowledge of the climate change to the public in terms of the situation of climate change, solutions to address the change and the cooperation between EU and China in the field. Vice President Xu Ningshen noted in the opening speech that, being an institution committed to social responsibilities, SYSU will certainly strive to make more efforts in tackling the climate change.
After the opening ceremony, Vice President Xu Ningsheng accompanied Mr. Michael Pulch to look around the exhibition. The exhibition will be open in the East Campus Library for a week from September 16.
