Peking Opera, the National Quintessence of China, Staged in the Hong Lok Yuen

Guangzhou, November 24, 2009 (Yangcheng Evening Paper): Last evening, a special performance of the "2009 Refined Art on campus", which is jointly organized by the State Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Finance, was staged on the Sun Yat-sen University South Campus. Led by Yu Kuizhi, the head of the National Peking Opera Theater Team One, over 50 A- list performers including Li Shengsu of Tsing Yi of Mei School came and brought to students of Guangdong the treasure of China --- the charms of Peking Opera.

The acquaintance of a general knowledge of Peking Opera prior to the performance, allowed the teachers and students to have a through understanding of Beijing Opera as they enjoyed the artistic performance.
