The 2nd SYSU Campus Rights Day Held on the East Campus
"The Internet speed is slow and the network is always disconnected when it is busy. Is there any solutions to the problem?” “Is it possible to extent the hot water supply time?” Sponsored by SYSU Youth Association, and SYSU Student Union, the 2nd SYSU Campus Rights Day with the theme of “Communication, Harmony, Rights, and Life” was held on SYSU’s east campus. Presiding staff of SYSU east campus’s Party & Administration Joint Office, property management company, Logistics Office, Office of Security and Military Training Affairs, Network Center, and other related administrative offices were present in the event, and communicated face-to-face with students to give detailed explanations to the problems encountered in their daily life, listened to their voices earnestly and sincerely, and actively made efforts to solve the problems.
The responses to the hot issues and anti-theft tips painstakingly gathered by student union members were displayed in display panels and brochures for students to browse in the activity. The help desk was crowded with passionate students. Staff of all the offices in the event patiently answered the inquiries/questions from the students that ranged from the damages of money recharging machine to the repair of fans in the dormitories, recording the problems that couldn’t be solved temporarily, and promised to give feedbacks as soon as possible.
Yuan Huanbiao, Party secretary of SYSU’s Eastern Campus Administration, said that, it was of great significance to have face-to-face communications with students, who gave full play to their agency and gathered the problems encountered in their daily life. He also noted that the Administration were highly concerned with the problems that students raised, and with the philosophy of “caring for students and serving for students”, all the related offices would solve the problems as soon as possible and create an agreeable environment for students to study and live.
Mr. Yuan Huanbiao also hoped that students would report their problems to relevant departments through channels such as the email of east campus: dads@mail.sysu.edu.cn, the newly opened hot-line: 39332110, and the property management, communication and service sector of the property management company established on the web. The Eastern Campus Administration will record the problems immediately and try to resolve them as soon as possible, and get dedicated to the service for students.
