The First English Drama Competition Successfully Concludes

Sponsored by the Foreign Language Association and Drama Club of SYSU, the first English Drama Competition of SYSU had been held on the East Campus on the evening of Dec.7^th. Students from Guangzhou University, Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies, South China Normal University and other universities were invited to this activity. The principal of Drama Club and Foreign Language Association, Liu Wenjuan from English language Teaching Centre of SYSU, Mark Suther, a foreign teacher and other guests were acting as judges.

Each of The six teams stood out from the preliminary round ,demonstrated their charms and their well-prepared garment and props, native pronunciation, wealthy and influential performance had won them thunderous applauses. Finally, the team Generation Y from Zhongshan School of Medicine, composing of postgraduates, got the first award, and the team, “Casual Clan”, received people’s choice award decided by the audience. In addition, the best pronunciation and intonation award, best actor and actress award and other personal award were set up in this competition.
