The 8th Loving Educational Assistance Week Kicks off in SYSU

With the theme of “Pooling Love and Lighting the Paths of Study”, the 8th Loving Educational Assistance Week kicked off on the SYSU’s east campus on Nov.2, which attracted a large number of students who were eager to participate in the event. A student from School of Communication and Design said that, she and 3 other roommates decided to provide financial assistance to an elementary school student; it meant a lot to them that they are able to support the study and living of the children in the destitute mountainous regions.

According to report, the activity was sponsored by the Loving Educational Assistance Association. Through the activity, money was collected in aid of students in the destitute mountainous regions in Guizhou, Shanxi, and Sichuan to cover their tuition fees and provide assistance to their study and living. SYSU students can provide the financial support personally or in the form of dormitories or classes, or join the “Love Cottage” to find co-funders through Loving Educational Assistance Association.
