SYSU team won champion in the national final of the 14th KPMG Corporate Culture Case Analysis Competition

The national final of the 14th KPMG Corporate Culture Case Analysis Competition was held in Southern Software Park, Zhuhai on April 22, 2017. The competition was cohosted by SYSU Youth Association and Zhuhai Enterprise Culture Association, and was undertaken by the Student Union of Lingnan College on Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU).

The theme of this year’s competition is “Fission”, which implies that the corporation subverts the traditional thinking and is bold in innovation in order to adapt to the changing society and thus realizing sustainable development. 13 universities took part in the national final, namely Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Xiamen University, Jinan University, University of Science and Technology of China, South China University of Technology, Lingnan University, South China Agricultural University, Renmin University of China, Macau University of Science and Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Sun Yat-sen University. These teams competed against each other and displayed to the audience an amazing academic contest.

The national final consisted of three parts: English presentation, opposing questioning and situation simulation. Focusing on this year’s theme of “Fission”, each team demonstrated strong quantitative analysis skills, outstanding reasoning ability and perfect teamwork.

After five hours of fierce competition, the PHOENIX team from Sun Yat-sen University won the champion. The Visionary team from Macau University of Science and Technology was the runner-up, and the Unicool team from The Chinese University of Hong Kong was the second runner-up. Li Xiaojun, a member of the Visionary team from Macau University of Science and Technology, won the honor of “Best Contestant”.
