Basketball League Game of the School of Life Sciences Begins

The league game of the school of Life Sciences raised its curtain last Saturday with the competition between the Ecology-Biotechnology &Application mixed team (08) and Biology Science (08), a game which Ecology-Biotechnology & Application won with 39-38.

The game began at 9:30 am in Rongyuan basketball court. At the beginning of the competition, the Ecology-Biotechnology & Application took the lead. Lin Tao and Kai Fang, members of the basketball team from the school of Life Sciences, took a lot of fast breaks and post-up plays, leading their team to score many points. Yet Biology Science also did an excellent job. Great passion and perfect teamwork helped them to catch up with their opponent soon. Ye Zhiquan, minister of the Department of Sport in Student Union, made good use of his agility and cut into Ecology-Biotechnology & Application’s attacks through lots of steals. Once they even surpassed their opponent in reverse. Yet it was the strong will and excellent skill that enabled Ecology-Biotechnology & Application to gain the lead again. Around 10:40A.M. , Ecology-Biotechnology & Application ended the competition with a 39-38 victory.

In addition, the women basketball team of Biotechnology & Application (08)also gained a victory in the same morning. Although their opponent, Biology Science(08), played very well with heart and passion, too, the captain, Liu Yingjie, also the leader of Life Science School's women basketball team, led her team to win the competition with 14-6. She scored 12 points and contributed plenty of assists and block shots.
