Nomination Event for the 2009 “Student of the Year” Ended Successfully

In order to disseminate the characters of contemporary college students and in particular, that of SYSU students, the Department of Party Committee, Graduate Work Department, the Party Committee Propaganda Department, Youth League of SYSU, Employment Guidance Centers, Mental Health Education, Counseling Centers, held the nomination event for the 2009 “ student of the Year”.

20 candidates, at the recommendation of departments and, faculty jury, had been nominated to participate in the 2009,“student of the Year of SYSU”. The event took place on the east campus on Apr. 18th. The general assembly is composed of 315 students from 33 departments of SYSU. The final result was voted by the student jury.

At the nomination event, 20 student nominees presented themselves in turns, affecting the guests and students wit their progressive deeds.. Of the 20 student recipients, 10 were awarded the 2009 “student of the year” and 10 received nominee awards for 2009 "student of the year”.. The organizer will form some of them into propaganda teams who will give talks through out the campuses and share their experiences as students of the year.
