SYSU Teams Make Another Success in Tianjin Competition Zone of ACM
On October 17th, the 35th International College Program Designing Competition (Asia) of ACM was held in Tianjin. Three teams of SYSU worked hard and made another success, winning two silver medals and one bronze. The members of Team Two of SYSU are Liang Xiaocong an 07 undergraduate and Wang Li an 08 undergraduate from the School of Information Science and Technology, and Liu Jiahui an 08 undergraduate from the School of Software Engineering; while the members of Team One of SYSU all from the School of Information Science and Technology are Zhao Haoquan 10 postgraduate, Wang Siyu an 07 undergraduate and Deng Ziheng an 08 undergraduate. Each of the two won a silver medal (Team Two the first and Team One the second). In addition, Team Eight of SYSU won a bronze medal, and its members are Ma Shuo and Ding Weijie 08 undergraduates from the School of Information Science and Technology, and Li Chengqian an 08 undergraduate from the Schoolof Software Engineering. And the coach of SYSU representative teams is Professor Guo Songshan from the Schoolof Information Science and Technology.
The 35th ACM competition in Tianjin Zone of Asia is sponsored by TianjinUniversity. And Tianjin competition zone is considered to be one of the most competitive zones this year. Since each college has sent their strongest teams to the competition, altogether there are 131 teams from 82 colleges, such as Tsinghua University,Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University and Sun Yat-Sen University. These teams are selected out of 634 teams from more than 150 colleges in the preliminary selection contest on internet during the middle of September.
