Our University Held the In-province Examination of the Independent Recruitment

On the afternoon of February 18, examination of the 2012 Sun Yat-sen University’s independent recruitment for Guangdong students was held. For the convenience of students, SYSU separated examination’s date in Guangdong from other national independent recruitment associations on purpose, and set up test centers in 9 cities within the province, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou. Altogether more than 4700 students took the written test.

This single examination consists of three disciplines, which are Chinese, English and Mathematics (liberal arts and science students are tested separately), and each discipline is given 1 hour. The Chinese exam is only composed of reading and writing. Reading is divided into 2 parts: ancient prose and modern literature and the composition title is “One Thought”, which gives students more freedom by means of “giving the title but not restraining the meanings”.

Our university will announce the A class interview list according to students’ written test scores and their comprehensive abilities. The interview will be held on March 10 in south campus.
