The Final of the 5th “SYSU Science Park Cup”, Win in SYSU Entrepreneurship Skill & Planning Contest Was Successfully Held

On the afternoon of March 11th, the Final Entrepreneurship Skills & Planning Contest of the 5th “SYSU Science Park Cup” themed Win in SYSU was held on the South Campus. Together with the leading cadres in charge of relevant departments and schools, Zhu Kongjun, the deputy party secretary of SYSU, attended the event and gave a speech. More than 500 competitors and audience attended the contest. It was organized by SYSU National Science Park, the Youth League Committee of SYSU, and SYSU Career Center.

Entrepreneurship contest was a significant component for college entrepreneurship education, which could efficiently stimulate college students’ spirit, awareness and skills for venturing, pointed Zhu Kongjun, in his view of college entrepreneurship education. He also reviewed the course of the contest, and appreciated for its significance in cultivating entrepreneurial talents in college.

Since last September, students participated actively in this contest. Around 3200 students signed up for the contest, and 163 business plans were submitted. With more pre-contest training, more reasonable plan-grouping and scientific judgment, this contest not only inspired the students to innovate new business models, but also further encouraged them to industrialize the scientific achievements of market potential, and would provide continuous help and support for excellent business projects. After the first and the second round, 12 teams reached the Final, with their projects involving biology, medicine, chemical industry, environmental protection, energy, electronic information, advisory services, etc. Students showed their vitality, innovative spirit, venturing awareness and practical ability in this contest.

After a fierce competition, the “Marketing and Promotion of Portable ECG Monitor” won the first prize, the “Researching and Producing of Hyperlipemia Drugs” ranked the second, and “Yiqing Technology Co.,LTD” the third. On behalf of SYSU, the excellent teams in this contest will participate in the 8th “Challenge Cup” Guangdong College Students Business Plan Contest.
