The First Russian Culture Festival of SYSU was Successfully Held

On April 22nd, the first Russian Culture Festival was successfully held in Zhuhai Campus by School of International Studies (SIS) and organized by Russian Department and Student Union of SIS.
Consul Aleksey and his wife from Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Guangzhou, Professor Maria from Faculty of World Politics of Moscow State University, Chen Chunsheng, the Deputy Executive Secretary of Party Committee of SYSU, Hao Dengfeng, the Secretary of Party Working Committee in Zhuhai Campus, Lin Junhong, the Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee in Zhuhai Campus, Xu Dongli, the Secretary of Party Committee of School of Foreign Languages, Professor Huang Guowen, the Dean of School of International Studies, Professor Wang Bin, the General Director of Academia and Administration in SIS, Xiao Jingyu, the Vice Dean of SIS, Chen Youzhi, the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and the Vice Dean of SIS, attended the activity. More than twenty Russian students as well as many teachers and students participated in this culture festival.

During the art performance of the culture festival, Chinese students performed Russian folk dances and Russian songs, while students from Moscow State University and Russia New University performed mandarin poems and Chinese songs.
Russian Culture Festival is a grand occasion since the re-establishment of Russian Department in SYSU. It is a platform for cultural exchange between China and Russia and a manifestation of the friendship between people of the two countries. It has a profound significance in promoting the development of school culture on Zhuhai Campus and the cultural communication between the two countries.
