In order to discover the artistic talents of university students, to promote self-cultivation and to enrich arts and cultural life in the campus, the Management Committee and the Party Work Committee of Zhuhai Campus successfully organized the second "self-cultivation" original artworks contest for students in Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. SYSU Deputy Secretary Zhu Kongjun and Secretary of Zhuhai Campus Party Work Committee Hao Dengfeng visited the exhibition, attended the award ceremony of the contest and presented certificates and prizes for the winners on June 1.

This contest attracted many participants, receiving over 200 artworks in various art forms including painting, calligraphy, photograph, seal cutting, paper-cutting, handworks and so on. After selected by professional judges, 32 students won awards ranging from the First, Second, Third and Excellence Prize.
