With the theme "Pursue Dreams in One Belt and One Road, Tell Stories about China and You", the third Chinese Culture Contest was held at the Rehearsal Hall of Zhuhai TV station on December 4th. Members of the Crosstalk Group from Sun Yat-sen University distinguished themselves with special talents and excellent Chinese proficiency. They competed with 69 other groups and performed remarkably, advancing to the final along with five other outstanding groups.

The Crosstalk Group is a strong squad consisting of three international master’s degree students. They are Odilov Farkhod and Tillaev Dilshodbek from the School of Chinese as a Second Language and Alshare Mustafa Fatehi Mohammad from the School of Education. Odilov and Tillaev have been classmates since high school and now they are pursuing their dreams at SYSU together. They got to know Mustafa when they volunteered on a cultural exchange trip to Jiangkou School in September this year and struck up a friendship. Then these three like-minded friends took part in the Chinese Culture Contest under the encouragement of teachers and friends.
The contest consists of 4 parts: Creative Self-introduction, Poetry Contest, Character Contest, and Story-telling. Although their time in China was not as long as some of their other opponents, the Crosstalk Group still performed stunningly in the contest.
