Recently, Development Planning and Statistics Bureau of Shunde District sent a letter to express sincere gratitude for our school’s strong support for the development of Shunde, and also reported that the achievements of the project hosted by Professor Yue Jinglun and Postdoctor Xie Baojian received written instructions from leaders of the provincial party committee and government.

In 2010, entrusted by Development Planning and Statistics Bureau of Shunde District, professor Yue Jinglun from School of Government and postdoctor Xie Baojian from The Center for Studies of Hong Kong, Macao and Pearl River Delta took charge to revise Social Development Plan of Sunny Shunde and Happy Home, the revised plan scientifically positioned the social development goals of Shunde, systematically portrayed the happy prospects of Shunde’s development, put forward pertinent and feasible ways to reach happiness in detail, which had important reference value for building happy Shunde and a sunny city, explored ways and provided ideas for building “Happy Guangdong”. After Shunde district committee and government reported the main contents and index system of the plan to provincial party committee and government, it received affirmation from Executive Vice Governor Zhu Xiaodan of The Standing Committee of the provincial party committee.
