President of SpringfieldCollege in USA Richard B. Flynn, together with his wife and Prof. Liu Zhan director of Huo’s Fund visited SYSU on the morning of 15 November. Yan Guangmei, vice-president of SYSU, had a friendly talk with the guests and they reviewed the history of friendly interactions between the two colleges. Richard B. Flynn hopes that there will be further cooperation in exchanging students, the 2+2 project, medical science and other related fields.

Springfield College is a comprehensive university with a long history in the USA, and physical education, health and recreational education occupy important places in this college. There is master’s degree in sports psychology, physical education, recreation and healthcare. SpringfieldCollege and SYSU have a cooperative relationship for more than ten years. Late Huo Yingdong founded the "Huo’s Fund for Cultural Exchanges between China and USA”, improving the physical education and cultural exchanges between the two universities, and Lingnan College of SYSU has a foundation for teachers’ training in English. Leaders of the two universities frequently visit each other and have established profound friendship.
