"All Under Heaven Are Equal” — Exchange Across the Strait Taiwan Delegation of Students and Faculty Visit SYSU

The exchange across the Taiwan Strait with the theme of “All under heaven are equal” hosted by Sun Yat-sen Foundation was held recently. Top Taiwan students came to Lingnan area for study. On the morning of July 21st, 76 Taiwan teachers and students arrived at SYSU for a visit and had profound communication with teachers and students of SYSU. Deputy Secretary of the CPC committee Zhu Kongjun attended the communication that was hosted by Huang Shan, Secretary of CYL Committee.

During the communication, Deputy Secretary of the CPC committee Zhu Kongjun extendwed a warm welcome to the Taiwan students on behalf of SYSU, and made a brief introduction on the relationship between Mr. Sun Yat-sen and SYSU. Professor Lin Jiayou, Professor Wu Yixiong and Professor Zhao Libin also attended the communication; they delivered speeches on Sun Yat-sen and rejuvenation of china as well as Sun Yat-sen and SYSU. Students of both sides visited the campus after the communication, through which the Taiwanese students learned better of the SYSU spirit and SYSU culture.

"All under heaven are equal”—the exchange across the strait of this year is themed as “visiting Sun Yat-sen’s hometown, recalling Sun Yat-sen’s achievement, inheriting Sun Yat-sen’s spirit”. The exchange also regards “experiencing Guangdong society, understanding the history and customs of Guangdong, appreciating Lingnan culture and promoting communication between youths across the straits” as its purpose. Students and teachers from Soochow University, Asia University, Kang-Ning Junior College of Medical Care and Management and Tatung Institute of Technology took part in the exchange.
