SUSY and French University Jointly Established Nuclear Engineering School

Guangzhou, July 1st, 2010, Guangzhou Daily:In 2009, the Ministry of Education determined to resume the approval of the Sino-foreign cooperative education programme suspended four years ago, which provides more extensive room for the cooperation of domestic institutes and foreign high-quality educational resources.

In June 28th, SYSU took the lead to cooperate with France and establish Sino-French Nuclear Engineering and Technology School. The school regulations were finalized, Deans of both sides were appointed, and the teaching plan was made. The school will be run in the upcoming September.

Professor Xu Ningsheng, Vice President of SYSU, pointed put that, most of Sino-foreign cooperative education in the past mainly focused on short overseas study training for teachers and students, very few adopted the practice of establishing Sino-foreign school and sharing all the course contents.
