Teams from SYSU Won the Third Place in ACM-ICPC Asia Regional Dalian Site Contest

On Sep. 25th, the 36th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest Asia regional contest started in Dalian. In Dalian site, with great endeavor, three teams from SYSU won two gold medals and one silver medal respectively, making SYSU the third place in final ranking.

Coached by Prof. Guo Songshan from School of Information Science and Technology (SIST), Team Two and Team Six of SYSU both won gold medals. Team Two consisted of Liu Chenheng, Tan Ruiyang, two students from SIST, and Liu Jiahui from School of Software; Team Six consisted of three students from SIST: Ruan Yongliu, Lin Zequn, Zhou Junxiong. Coached by lecturer Liu Xiaoming from SIST, Team Four of SYSU won a silver medal. Team Four consisted of Chen Yuanxun, Huang Wenhao, Liang Yichuan, students from SIST. In two successive years, teams from SYSU won two gold medals in the preliminary round of Asia regional contest. Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tsinghua University won the first and the second place respectively.
