On April 17, 2015, the Mayo Clinic Best Practice of Hospital Management Exchange Seminar was held in The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Dr. Kent Seltman, former director of marketing of Mayo Clinic in the United States, and Mr. James A. Dilling, Senior Administrator for Quality of Mayo Clinic, gave lectures to the faculty and students.

The lectures were chaired by Professor Rong Limin, vice-president of The Third Affiliated Hospital of SYSU. Dr. Kent Seltman delivered lectures on "Orchestrating the Clues of Quality” and “The Enduring Culture of Mayo Clinic”. He talked about the development history of Mayo Clinic and the hospital culture. Mr. James A. Dilling delivered lectures on “The Quality Journey” and “Commitment to Safety”. He considered that the primary value of Mayo Clinic led them to provide the best care to every patient through the integrated clinical practices, education and researches. The lectures were warmly welcomed by the faculty and students.
