Dean Ling Junqi of the Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology of SYSU was Honored with Wuzhou Women Science & Technology Awards

On May 15, the awarding ceremony of the 2nd Chinese Medical Women Association (CMWA) Wuzhou Women Science & Technology Awards was held in Chongqing. Ling Junqi, Dean of the Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology of our university, stood out from numerous talents across the nation, and was conferred the Clinical Medical Research Innovation Award. Gu Xiulian, President of the National Committee for the Wellbeing of the Youth and Honorary President of China Medical Women’s Association, leaders of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as more than 150 female physician representatives from all over the nation, have attended the ceremony. The ceremony granted awards to the 25 female scientific and technical workers who received this honor. In terms of our province, Professor Ling Junqi and Professor Hou Fanfan won the award.

Examined and authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Wuzhou Women Science & Technology Awards is a ministry award initiated for female medical workers. This award is aimed at rewarding prominent female medical workers who have been learning, understanding, innovating and developing in the field of medical science, and who have fully demonstrated women’s mien of “holding up half the sky” and made outstanding contribution to improving national health level. Dean Ling Junqi have received this award, which is a full confirmation of her remarkable innovative ability and selfless devotion, as well as her outstanding contribution to promoting the development of oral cavity medical and health undertakings of our country.
