On the morning of March 31, the opening ceremony of Breast Tumor Medical Department and Shu Hua Breast Cancer Research Center of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital was held in the south district of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital. Fang Xiaowei, Director of Hong Kong Fang Runhua Foundation, Academician Xu Ningsheng, President of SYSU, Li Ping ,Vice Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Shen Huiyong, Director of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital have attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Song Erwei, Vice Director of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital.

"The Breast Tumor Medical Department and Shu Hua Breast Cancer Research Center of SYSU” was unveiled by guests present at the ceremony. On behalf of Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation and Fang Runhua Foundation, Director Fang Xiaowei donated a check for Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital, President Xu Ningsheng and Vice Secretary Li Ping awarded an acknowledgement certificate and gave a souvenir of thanks to Lady Fang Xiaowei respectively. The guests present at the ceremony also established commemorative tree planting for “Breast Tumor Medical Department and Shu Hua Breast Cancer Research Center”.

Relevant department leaders of SYSU as well as of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital have attended the opening ceremony.
