Sun Yat-sen University has five campuses in the three cities of Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen, and ten affiliated hospitals. The Guangzhou South Campus and Guangzhou North Campus are important provincial historic sites with 66 historical  architectures under provincial historic preservation. The historical relics in SYSU are in need of urgent repair and besides, the teaching, experimental and administrative facilities are in need of improvement. In order to foster an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, social interaction, self-expression and mutual support, SYSU Education Development Foundation sincerely invites people of all circles to support the development of campus surroundings.

SYSU boasts excellent students nationwide. About 60,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students are admitted every year. Therefore, SYSU is devoted to the establishment of scholarships to encourage excellent students to make more progress while assisting the students in need of financial supports to overcome difficulties and finish their studies. Donation from society and alumni which is not restricted to particular projects will be used in the most important and urgent projects that promote SYSU’s comprehensive development. To ensure its appropriate allocation, the donation will be managed with great care. The Foundation not only assists SYSU to deal with the opportunities and challenges in its development, but also upgrade the teaching and research facilities.
