SYSU defends title with back-to-back wins at CUVA

The 2024–2025 China University Volleyball Association (CUVA) (High-Level Division) final concluded on June 5 at the Jimei campus of Xiamen University of Technology. After 12 days of fierce competition, Sun Yat-sen University's men's volleyball team swept Nanchang University 3-0 in the final to retain their title.

In the men's final, SYSU's team showcased their dominance with a straight-sets victory over Nanchang University, winning 25-18, 25-14, 25-22.

Comprising undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, the team continued their success from the 2023-2024 season, reaffirming SYSU’s status as a powerhouse in collegiate volleyball.

The CUVA (High-Level Division) is the premier volleyball competition among Chinese universities. This year's tournament featured 39 teams from 32 universities across 16 provinces and regions, with over 800 athletes participating. The finals were streamed on CCTV Sports, drawing over 20 million views.
