Prof. Alex Fok presented eight lectures, offered advice to the thesis proposals of postgraduate students, and discussed with faculty and students on the teaching and research in stomatology. Six of his lectures centered on two themes: solid mechanics of dental restoration, and research on composite shrinkage. At the request of the students, he also gave two lectures on English paper writing. With novel contents and small class size, the series of lectures achieved good results.
Before the end of the academic exchange, Prof. Cheng Bin, Executive Deputy Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, presented a certificate to Prof. Alex Fok as an expression of sincere gratitude. He hoped that the Guanghua School of Stomatology of Sun Yat-sen University and the School of Dentistry of University of Minnesota will deepen cooperation in research, faculty visit and joint graduate programs in the future.
