A group of four nursing staff from Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC) of Sun Yat-sen University have visited Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.
At the invitation of Ms Tracy Luckett, the Director of Nursing at Moorfields, the ZOC delegation led by Director of Nursing Xiao Huiming was in London for the study tour from June 6 to 9, 2015. Members of the delegation also included Head Nurse of Outpatients Lin Liping, Head Nurse of the Wards Huang Sijian, and Head Nurse of Glaucoma Huang Wenmin.

The visit allowed both sides to exchange views on a variety of important topics, including Management of Ophthalmic Nursing, Management of Nursing Human Resources, Day-care Ward Management, Clinical Research and the Training & Education of Ophthalmic Nurses.
Accompanied by the head nurses of the various departments at Moorfields, the ZOC delegation visited the Emergency (A&E) Department, Outpatients Department, Operating room, Day-care Ward and the Children’s Eye Centre.
The delegation believed that the information and ideas gained from this visit, as well as the useful in-depth discussions, will help improve the nursing services at ZOC.
