Professor Xueqing Yu was elected as the President-elect of Asian Renal Association.
During the address, Professor Xueqing Yu suggested that ARA should aim for a greater contribution to the worldwide nephrology advancement since Asia has the largest population among all the seven continents, and acts as a locomotive for the global economic development. In the coming three years, in cooperation with International Society of Nephrology (ISN), and International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD), Chinese Society of Nephrology (CSN) will support 20 Nephrologists from Asian countries to receive training and join the CME courses hosted in China annually. In the meantime, CSN will take an active part in organizing training activities for African renal doctors, especially for dialysis therapy, as well as assist Chinese dialysis enterprises to develop in Africa, offering high-quality and inexpensive dialysis products to help achieve the goal of ISN 025 project in Africa.
