On June 26, 2014, the award ceremony of the 9th Chinese Physician Prize was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Prof. Huang Hongzhang, Vice-President of Chinese Stomatological Association and professor at Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University, was awarded the 9th Chinese Physician Prize issued by Chinese Medical Doctor Association.

Established in 2003, the Chinese Physician Prize is the highest award for Chinese medical doctors. The recipients are outstanding physicians recommended by the provinces and municipalities and approved by the evaluation committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Among the 80 winners this year, Prof. Huang Hongzhang is the only stomatologist to receive this honor.
