From September 9 to 12, the 14th Congress of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prof. Yu Xueqing of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was elected ISPD council member with a term of 6 years.

The Congress of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis, the highest level of academic conference in the field, is held every two years in turn in the continents of the world. Over 1,500 experts of peritoneal dialysis from all over the world attended the meeting. 9 ISPD council members were elected including Prof. Yu Xueqing as a representative of Asia.
