The two sides had an in-depth discussion on current healthcare system reform and the potential areas of future cooperation between Denmark and China. Dr. Wu introduced the strength of the hospital, and expressed the hope to have future cooperation with Denmark in infectious diseases, hepatic and liver diseases, disaster medicine, psychology, oncology, geriatrics, medical equipment innovation, hospital administration, etc. Mr. Malecki showed a strong interest in future cooperation, and look forward to effective collaborative programs between Danish and Chinese hospitals in the near future, especially the establishment of a platform for academic cooperation and exchange.

Denmark has one of the most efficient and equal healthcare systems in the world. The system is centralized by the government, run directly by the regional authorities to provide convenient and high-quality medical services to the residents. At the same time, the continuous research and development (R&D) carried out by drug research institutions, large invention of new drugs and the constant emergence of research talents has created abundant resources for pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Malecki’s visit has enhanced the mutual trust and understanding, while building a solid foundation for our future cooperation.
